Rockwool Ductslab and Ductwrap
Thermal insulation for air conditioning, warm air and extractor ducts, located either in plant rooms and boiler houses or externally. Rockwool Ductslab and Ductwrap can also be used to insulate cold water storage tanks thermally, feeds and expansion tanks with service temperatures of up to 230°C. Rockwool Ductwrap consists of a lightweight, flexible insulation roll faced with reinforced aluminium foil. Rockwool Ductslab consists of a semi-rigid insulation slab-faced with reinforced aluminium foil. Advantages Non-combustible (Euroclass A1) Water repellent Acoustically absorbent Chemically inert Easy to handle and install.
Rockwool Ductslab and Ductwrap achieve excellent thermal protection for ductwork and water storage tanks up to 230°C. The products are also non-combustible and water resistant.
Performance & properties
Thermal Properties - The mean temperature of the duct effects the thermal conductivity of the duct. Details below: 10°C is 0.033W/mK 50°C is 0.040W/mK 100°C is 0.050W/mK 150°C is 0.063W/mK
Acoustic Properties - Ductslab or Ductwrap can improve the level of environmental sound. For higher standards of acoustic attenuation, Rockwool Tech wrap 2 or Techtube can be used to provide both thermal and acoustic insulation. For further information, please see the product datasheet.
Fire Properties - The products are non-combustible and are rated A1 Euro class.
Service Temperature -Rockwool Ductslab and Ductwrap can be used for service temperatures up to 230°C. The limiting outer foil face temperature is 80°C to maintain facing bond strength.
Green Guide Rating - The summary rating, based on the corresponding BRE Global Green Guide online generic specification, varies for Rockwool Ductslab and Ductwrap. Please contact the Customer Solutions and Sales Support team for more information.
Water Repellency - When suitably taped, the aluminium foil gives Ductslab and Ductwrap a water vapour resistance of approx. 1000 MNs/g.
Third Party Approvals - Ductslab and Ductwrap hold a London Underground Limited (LUL) approval.
Ozone Depleting Potential - Relying on entrapped air for its thermal properties, we are proud to say that Rockwool Ductslab and Ductwrap does not contain (and has never contained) gases that have an ozone depleting potential (ODP).
Global Warming Potential - Relying on entrapped air for its thermal properties, we are proud to say that Rockwool Ductslab and Ductwrap does not contain (and has never contained) gases that have a global warming potential (GWP). Therefore, they have a zero GWP for rating schemes such as the Code for Sustainable Homes.
